MIDNIGHT- The Cinderella Musical, playing at the Comedy Theatre, stars Brianna Bishop, Lucy Durack, Shane Jacobson and his daughter Liv, with music/lyrics by John Foreman and Anthony Costanzo.

Midnight, the Cinderella musical created by John Foreman and Anthony Costanzo, is a magically enchanting new tale that tells the story of Ella, a young woman who doesn’t want or need a so-called Prince Charming.

Brianna Bishop plays the role of Ella, and she is nothing short of brilliant in the part. Her voice is rich and powerful, and she brings a depth of emotion to the character that is truly captivating. From the moment she steps onto the stage, you can’t help but be drawn into her story.

The show itself is filled with stunning visuals and incredible music. The choreography is top-notch, and the set design is nothing short of breathtaking. But what really makes Midnight stand out is of course, the stellar cast that stars, Lucy Durack as Ms Madrina, Thomas McGuane as the Prince, multi-award-winning Shane Jacobson as The King and his beautiful daughter Liv Jacobson as Stella.

Shane says, “As a father of children in particular a daughter I love the way MIDNIGHT frames the story of Cinderella – it’s not a girl waiting for some Prince to come down and save her. He’s got to prove his worth and it’s the Cinderella story told in a way that has never been seen before.”

“To have my own daughter Liv join me in this production is pretty special.  She’s been working really hard in her acting classes for the past three years and we’re incredibly proud of her and can’t wait to see what she does with the role of Stella. To say my wife and I are excited for her would be an extreme understatement,” he added.

Midnight sends us a message about empowerment and self-reliance. Ella is a young woman who refuses to be defined by the expectations of others. She doesn’t need a prince to rescue her because she is perfectly capable of rescuing herself. This is a message that is sorely needed in our current cultural climate, and it is delivered here with both heart and humour.

Overall, Midnight is a triumph. It is a beautiful, moving, and thoroughly entertaining show that is not to be missed. Whether you’re a fan of musical theatre or just looking for a night out at the theatre, this show is sure to leave you enchanted. So don’t wait – get your tickets now and experience the magic of Midnight for yourself.
