WHYTE STUDIO – Motorsport Inspired Luxury Womenswear by Bianca Whyte

Bianca Whyte is the designer behind Whyte Studio, a Brisbane born girl who is taking the fashion world by storm.

Whyte’s first success was that of a National Motocross Champion and originally she set out to design motocross clothing. After graduating College in 2011, Bianca was appointed Design Assistant for the ‘Kardashian Kollection’ label in LA. Her design technique and eye for detail were recognized early on and she quickly moved to Senior Designer working alongside the Kardashian sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe in L.A.

After four amazing years alongside the sisters she was offered an opportunity to expand her creativity and skills and design for a British label, this enabled Bianca to see the ins and outs of what is required to set up your own business and in June 2017 ‘Whyte Studio’ was launched.

Bianca is highly motivated and ambitious not only a Motocross Champion and Fashion Designer but also recognized as an International DJ, known as Bianca DJ.

Where are you based?

“WHYTE STUDIO is based in London, UK with an office also in Brisbane, Australia”

Where does your inspiration and creativity come from as a designer?

“My creativity comes from living in LA and now living in London, I am a big observer of people and I love music, so subculture and music are my biggest influences”

Who is Whyte Studio’s market audience? Do you cater to all shapes and sizes?

“My career started as the designer for the Kardashian Collection so designing clothes for curvy shapes has always been a natural step for me. My body shape is also quite curvy so I always have in mind the most flattering design lines”

You recently showed your first ever collection in Sydney, please tell us about the collection and where the inspiration came from?

“My first ever debut collection as part of MBFWA was inspired by my LA lifestyle and my time as a motocross athlete, I used details such as buckles and zips. I also love tailoring and easy to wear pieces that can be worn from day to night”

What fabrics have you worked with for this collection and why?

“I have worked with cotton, leather, linen, denim, sports and technical fibres”

How was the colour palette chosen?

“It was chosen from my love of the sea, sun and fresh clean colours”

What does Whyte Studio represent? What’s next?

Whyte is my surname and Studio is my creative space. Next is all about expansion and looking to gain more presence internationally.
