It’s a MOTHER & SON night to remember for Port Adelaide’s ZAK BUTTERS!

It was a Brownlow to remember for Port Adelaide’s Zak Butters and his mother Renee as they attended the Medal night together at Crown. The Port Adelaide star had a remarkable season, and his presence at the prestigious event was a testament to his hard work and dedication.

Zak Butters, only 21 years old, had an incredible campaign in 2023. He played a pivotal role in Port Adelaide’s success, showcasing his immense talent and versatility on the field. As the season progressed, Butters’ performances caught the attention of fans and his teammates, making him a strong contender for the Brownlow Medal.

Before attending the Brownlow Zak sat down with me and said, “I’m a little nervous, but I’m happy to have my mum alongside me and being with my teammates. I always spoke about taking mum as a little kid, and mum was also in my ear about it, so I got the chance and here we are and she’s pretty stoked. I think my teammate Connor Rozee will poll well and Dan Houston as well, so I’m looking forward to seeing them get some votes tonight.”

Accompanied by his mother Renee, Butters they arrived on the red carpet infront of the mass media in style. Dressed in a sharp suit, he exuded confidence and excitement for the evening ahead. It was clear that this was a momentous occasion for both mother and son, and they were ready to embrace the glitz and glamour of the night.

Zak says, “Tonight I’m Styled by Ramzy and his team and my hair has been looked after by Frank Ciccone, they’ve made me look better than I normally do, so thank you to them.”

As the Brownlow Medal ceremony unfolded, it became evident that Butters’ outstanding season had not gone unnoticed. He received a significant number of votes throughout the evening, steadily climbing up the leaderboard. 

Butters’ fourth-place finish in the Brownlow Medal voting was a remarkable achievement for a player of his age. For his mother Renee Butters, it was a proud and unforgettable moment, Renee beamed with joy as she watched her son receive recognition for his hard work.
