An Evening of Elegance: Keshett Celebrates a New Era of Luxury in Melbourne.

Iconic Jewellery House, Keshett Celebrates a New Era of Luxury in Melbourne

Melbourne’s iconic jewellery house Keshett celebrated 47 years of heritage, craftsmanship and timeless elegance with an intimate evening unveiling its beautifully transformed boutiques and sophisticated new identity.

Melbourne’s luxury jewellery scene welcomed a new chapter on Thursday, 8 October, as renowned family-owned jewellery house Keshett celebrated the unveiling of its newly refurbished Little Collins Street flagship and historic Block Arcade boutique.

Hosted by Hannah Brown, the exclusive evening brought guests together to celebrate the transformation of one of Melbourne’s most established independent jewellers.

The celebrations began at the Little Collins Street flagship, where guests were welcomed with champagne and seasonal canapés while discovering the elegant new interiors, designed by award-winning Melbourne interior design practice Studio Y.

The evening continued with a stroll through Melbourne’s iconic Block Arcade, where jewel-inspired desserts and a live sketch artist added a creative touch to the occasion.

It was a fitting celebration for a jewellery house that has spent almost five decades appreciating the beauty of exceptional design.

A New Chapter for a Melbourne Icon

Founded in 1979 by Eugene and Paula Keshett, the family-owned jewellery house has built an impressive reputation for its collection of antique and vintage jewellery, rare gemstones and bespoke creations.

Following Paula Keshett’s passing in 2025, her daughter, Creative Director Dana Aviv, and son-in-law, CEO Zac Aviv, have continued the family’s legacy, introducing a new vision while remaining faithful to the craftsmanship and heritage that have defined the business for 47 years.

The transformation marks an important milestone for the family, with both Melbourne boutiques undergoing extensive refurbishment and a sophisticated new brand identity being introduced.

Where Art Deco Meets Contemporary Luxury

Stepping inside the newly designed Little Collins Street flagship reveals an elegant world of rich timber finishes, heritage stone, bronze detailing and plush velvet furnishings.

A palette of deep forest and moss greens brings warmth and character to the interiors, while carefully considered display cabinets showcase the house’s extraordinary jewellery collections.

Inspired by the glamour of Art Deco architecture and the intimacy of traditional European jewellery salons, the boutiques offer a more personal approach to luxury shopping.

The flagship also features an exclusive VIP salon, providing a private setting for bespoke jewellery consultations and significant commissions.

Meanwhile, the Block Arcade boutique retains its historic charm while embracing the house’s refined new aesthetic.

Jewellery with a Story to Tell

For almost five decades, Keshett has attracted collectors and jewellery enthusiasts who appreciate pieces with history, individuality and exceptional craftsmanship.

Its collection spans multiple eras, from antique treasures to contemporary interpretations of Art Deco design.

Among the standout pieces is an extraordinary mid-century emerald necklace, alongside the house’s signature Decadent Collection, featuring Art Deco-inspired geometric rings.

The collection also includes rare signed pieces from prestigious international jewellery houses, including a Tiffany fan brooch and earrings and vintage Cartier ruby earrings.

These are jewels designed to be admired, collected and passed down through generations.

For Dana Aviv, continuing her mother’s legacy remains at the heart of the business.

“Jewellery should carry the past, but also belong to the future. My mother built Keshett on the belief that the finest pieces are those with history, craftsmanship and meaning behind them. Our role now is not to preserve that vision in amber, but to carry it forward for a new generation of collectors.”

Celebrating the Past, Embracing the Future

The October celebration represented more than the unveiling of two beautifully redesigned boutiques. It marked the beginning of a new generation for a business deeply connected to Melbourne’s jewellery history.

With plans for interstate trunk shows, potential international expansion, and the continued development of its bespoke collections, Keshett looks confidently to its 50th anniversary.

Yet for Dana and Zac Aviv, the philosophy remains unchanged.

“We never wanted to become a different house. We wanted Keshett to look as considered as the pieces it holds and to create a setting worthy of the collection, the craftsmanship and the relationships that have been built here over almost five decades.”

“My mother’s eye, her instinct and her reverence for beautiful things remain at the centre of everything we do. This next chapter is about carrying that forward.”

For Melbourne’s jewellery lovers, Keshett’s latest transformation offers a beautiful reminder that true luxury is found in craftsmanship, heritage and the stories behind the pieces we treasure.
