‘No-one knows how to celebrate like the Italians‘
The beloved Sooshi Mango trio, Joe and Carlo Salanitri and Andrew Manfre, are expanding their culinary empire Johnny, Vince, and Sam’s on Lygon Street! Known for their unique blend of humour and hospitality, the trio is taking their dining institution to new heights; quite literally, by introducing an upstairs dining space.

To commemorate this exciting expansion, a star-studded celebration unfolded, bringing together an impressive array of guests. The Salanitri brothers and Manfre were joined by the co-owners of Johnny, Vince, and Sam’s; Dani Zeini, Johnny Di Francesco, and Steven Ballerini, along with their families, creating a warm and joyous atmosphere that resonated with the essence of this fun filled venue.

Carlo Salanitri said, “No-one knows how to celebrate like the Italians, and the launch of Level One at Johnny, Vince and Sam’s last night proved that!”
“What a huge night of celebration. Good food, great drinks, and even better company. Nonna’s ‘good room’ was packed.”

Over 200 guests graced the occasion, filling the venue with laughter and excitement. Among the attendees were notable figures such as Lord Mayor Nick Reece and his wife Felicity Pantelidis, AFL Champion Marc Murphy, and beloved entertainers Nick Giannopoulos and Vince Colosimo. Adding to the star-studded lineup, dynamic duo Daniel and Nick Russian of Bar Bambi, joined in the festivities, turning the celebration into a true spectacle of camaraderie and support.

The night was alive with the sounds of laughter and clinking glasses, as guests revelled in the delicious Italian flavours that Sooshi Mango is renowned for. With the new upstairs space, patrons can now enjoy their favourite dishes in a fresh, vibrant setting that captures the essence of Lygon Street’s rich culinary tapestry.
