And Then There Were None – Harrison Craig says, “Agatha Christie’s work is amazing and to see this translated into a play is really, really, exciting.”

Thursday evening marked a mysterious moment in the world of theatre as Agatha Christie’s timeless classic, ‘And Then There Were Non’, opened at the Comedy Theatre. The atmosphere was full of intrigue and anticipation, with a star-studded line-up, including the likes of Rob Mills, Pettifleur Berenger, Harrison Craig, and Benjamin Norris, all eager to experience the thrill of mystery that only Christie can deliver.

Harrison Craig said, “I am familiar with the book, I’ve read the original version. Agatha Christie’s work is amazing and to see this translated into a play is really, really, exciting.”

From the moment the curtain rose, the evening exploded with drama, a literal boom that set the stage for an unforgettable production. The set was a masterpiece, transporting us to a secluded mansion perched on an isolated island, where ten strangers find themselves ensnared in a web of secrets, lies, and, of course, murder. The haunting ambiance, coupled with stunning visuals, ensured that the audience was on the edge of their seats from start to finish.

‘Starring Jack Bannister as Anthony Marston, Eden Falk as Dr. Armstrong, Jennifer Flowers as Emily Brent, Nicholas Hammond as General Mackenzie, Mia Morrissey as Vera Claythorne, Peter O’Brien as William Blore, Christen O’Leary as Mrs. Rogers, Chris Parker as Fred Narracott, Anthony Phelan as Sir Lawrence Wargrave, Grant Piro as Rogers and Tom Stokes as Philip.’

As each cast member made their entrance, the tension in the theatre grew palpable. Who could possibly be the murderer? The brilliance of Christie’s narrative lies in its ability to keep audiences guessing, and this adaptation did not disappoint. With every interaction and every revelation, the question loomed larger: which of these seemingly innocent individuals harboured a dark secret? I personally thought I had the murderer picked the whole way through the production, but with a clever twist, I found myself to be completely off the mark!

The play was a masterclass in storytelling, brilliantly capturing the essence of Christie’s writing while infusing it with a fresh, dynamic energy. The ensemble cast delivered powerful performances, each character intricately woven into the fabric of the mystery, leaving the audience both enthralled and perplexed.

As the final curtain fell, the audience erupted in applause, a true testament to the gripping experience they had just witnessed, and of course with were asked to keep the secret of the murderer within our hearts.
