Glitz and Glamour: The 64th TV WEEK Logie Awards Red Carpet Fashion
The 64th TV WEEK Logie Awards, held in Sydney, lived up to its reputation for glamour and style, showcasing stunning fashion from the industry’s finest. The red carpet was a tapestry of creativity and elegance, with celebrities turning heads in their meticulously curated outfits. Among the standout stylists was Sydney’s own Donny Galella, who had the honour of styling 15 guests, marking his most significant involvement at the Logies yet.
Galella, a well-known figure in the Australian fashion scene, brought his signature flair to the event, ensuring his clients made a memorable impression. “This is my biggest TV WEEK Logies as a stylist ever,” Galella remarked, reflecting on the excitement and pressure that comes with dressing high-profile personalities for such a prestigious occasion.
Among Donny’s red carpet looks, was the beloved actress Lisa McCune, who graced the red-carpet wearing gold lurex mesh in custom Cappellazzo Couture, that perfectly encapsulated her timeless elegance. McCune, a staple in Australian television having previously won 12 Logies, consistently proves that her fashion choices resonate with both sophistication and modernity, making her a perennial favourite on red carpets.
Another highlight was ‘New’ power couple from “Home and Away,” Ada Nicodemou and James Stewart whose relationship has been the talk of the town. Their coordinated looks not only showcased their individual styles but also emphasised their chemistry as a couple. Nicodemou’s dress, was custom Mariam Seddiq, black and off the shoulder with Vintage Dior Earrings. James Stewart wore a custom-made grey velvet Farage Tuxedo and accessorised with a Baume & Mercier watch.
Celebrity Stylist Lana Wilkinson lent her styling expertise to Abbey Holmes and Georgia Love. Holmes, celebrated for her nominations in both SAS and The Grand Final, turned heads in a ravishing red Cappellazzo Couture gown that was off the shoulder, while Georgia Love shone brightly in custom Eliya the label.
Lana worked with renowned Hair Stylist Gabrielle Roccuzzo to create both Abbey and Georgia’s looks. Gabrielle said, “Blow outs are incredibly popular this season and we opted for this look with Georgia as it complimented her dress whilst also framing her face incredibly well.
For Abbey, we created a sleek and chic look. This style is young and fresh, it complimented the dress and elevated her look.”
Lana Wilkinson emphasised the significance of the Logies as more than just a television awards ceremony. “The Logies are not only Television’s night of nights, but also one of the few major red-carpet events in Australia where fashion takes centre stage,” she remarked. This sentiment resonates strongly within the industry, as the red carpet provides a unique platform for designers and stylists to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship.
The event serves as a melting pot for some of Australia’s finest fashion designers, allowing them to unveil their latest collections and innovative designs to a wider audience. From elegant gowns to sharp tailored suits, the diversity of styles on display illustrated the rich tapestry of Australian fashion. Each look was meticulously crafted, reflecting not only the individual personalities of the stars but also the vision and artistry of the creatives behind the scenes.
Wilkinson’s excitement about participating in the Logies is palpable. “It’s always thrilling to be a part of it as many creatives, stylists, hair and makeup artists also get to demonstrate the power of putting together that perfect look,” she shared. This collaborative spirit is what makes the Logies a focal point of the Australian entertainment industry, highlighting the importance of teamwork in creating stunning visual presentations.
As the cameras flashed and the stars graced the red carpet, it was clear that the 64th TV WEEK Logie Awards was as much a celebration of television excellence as it was a showcase of the vibrant fashion landscape in Australia.
