Spring charity event of the season!
The battle a close friend has had with cancer is the inspiration behind A Touch Of Pink to be held on Saturday 7 October at Preston City Hall.
Event Organiser and Fashion Designer Paul Malcolm is throwing a fashion entertainment extravaganza to raise funds for the BCNA (Breast Cancer Network Australia). The event is in honour of his High School friend Jo, who is a breast cancer survivor.
“She’s had breast cancer for the last 15 – 17 years, raised her family, has had multiple surgeries, I’ve never heard her once complain or whinge, or say why me,” says Paul.
On the night you can expect Paul’s trademark runway showstoppers, having designed a collection specially for the event.
“You can expect lots of tulle, silk, sequins, brocades, fabulous hats, I’ll be showing over 20+ couture pieces,” he says.
Host TV Personality Ben Murphy will keep the entertainment flowing smoothly with musical performances from Katie Underwood and jazz singer Harriet Allcroft. For a sexy Instagram opportunity, expect to find Men of Dreams Australia working the crowd.
Paul has also designed a few menswear pieces for the event and is excited to have created a fresh take on a wedding look.
“The fashion part of the night is split, I’m showing 10 outfits first, then my 10 showstoppers will be shown followed by my big reveal,” he says.
Dress code is black tie cocktail with a touch of pink. There are opportunities to win raffle prizes and a couture auction.
All proceeds from ticket sales, money raised from the raffle prizes and the couture auction all go to the BCNA.
Tickets are $50 and can be purchased via his website here: malcolmpaull.com
