Cityfields restaurant owner Adam Wright-Smith spoke to MMS after the event, he says it was a wonderful night celebrated with amazing people from the TV, food, and lifestyle industries.

“It definitely was a surreal moment, this has been about 2.5 years in the making and seeing it all come together was a very special experience,” he says.

Guests on the night enjoyed an intimate dining experience at the new restaurant, a fantastic opportunity to showcase the food on offer.

Adam says they’re all about organic cooking along with a wood fire to create amazing grilled menu options.

“We spend a lot of time sourcing the most beautiful local produce and let the ingredients do the talking,” he says.

Adam comes armed with fantastic knowledge and love for the industry. He found his passion for hospitality having spent eight years working for a restaurant group in lower-east Manhattan. He moved back to Melbourne to open Half Acre in South Melbourne and is now proudly launching his new venture Cityfields.

Cityfields has multiple dining spaces along with a stunning rooftop bar overlooking the city – the perfect spot to watch the sunset over Melbourne.

The event also celebrated the launch of the artist-designed iconic entrance to The Social Quarter. This precinct accommodates a collection of 17 entertainment and sophisticated dining experiences.

The Social Quarter welcomes Cityfields to the collection of eight new entertainment and dining retailers at the Fashion Capital which includes: Archie Brothers, Strike Bowling, Holey Moley, Victoria’s first Hijinx Hotel, Piccolina Gelateria, Cinque Terre, White + Wong’s featuring their rooftop Sardine Bar, and UA Brewing Co.
