Pullman Melbourne on the Park Unveils William Clarke Sky Villa

Luxury Penthouse Suite is a Jewel in the Crown of the $40 million Renovation.

Pullman Melbourne on the Park has just unveiled the spectacular renovation of its William Clarke Sky Villa located on the top two floors of the flagship, 419-room hotel.

Designed by leading architects DKO, the William Clarke Sky Villa is a luxurious split-level layout villa with a spaciousliving and dining area, king bedroom, kitchenette and a generous walk-in-robe leading to an opulent bathroom with a free-standing spa bathtub overlooking the MCG.

Pullman Melbourne on the Park stands on the threshold of Melbourne’s sports, dining, business, and cultural precincts. The hotel sits alongside the MCG and stunning Fitzroy Gardens, with both the city and the historic creative hub of Fitzroy and Richmond only minutes away. With trams and trains and beautiful walking and cycling paths, the best of Melbourne is literally at your doorstep. Following a $40 million renovation, Pullman Melbourne on the Park has been awarded the 2022 Design Inn Award for Hotel of the Year (refurbishment). The Australasia-Pacific Hotel Design Awards celebrate excellence in hotel interior design.

Designed by leading architects DKO, the comprehensive renovations included 19 floors of completely upgraded Superior, Premium and Deluxe rooms and suites as well as a new Executive Lounge and William Clarke Sky Villa, positioning the Pullman Melbourne on the Park as one of Melbourne’s premium hotels.

I was recently invited to have a Stay cay at the hotel, and I enjoyed it immensely. The foyer upon entrance is particularly beautiful with its opulent décor and bar/lounge area.

My experience started as soon as I checked in with warm friendly and attentive staff. My suite was situated on the corner of the 8th floor with spectacular views across the Fitzroy Gardens and the surrounding City of Melbourne.

I refreshed myself with an afternoon dip in the pool, followed by a bottle of Champagne and then a walk to see the historic Captain Cook’s Cottage.

My evening finished with a bottle of Shiraz, mouthwatering Sirloin Steak, and a Chocolate Moose Dessert.

Pullman Melbourne on the Park is showcasing the very best produce Victoria has to offer through its brand-new buffet breakfast, “The Cliveden Breakfast – A marketplace of Australia’s favourite providores”.

Available at the Pullman’s iconic Cliveden Bar & Dining, the spread features an assortment of locally sourced and supplied produce from several well-known Victorian businesses including Meredith Dairy, Green Eggs, La Madre Bakery and Andrew’s Choice Sausage.

The “buy and support local” movement, which has maintained popularity beyond Melbourne’s lockdowns was one of the drivers behind the buffet’s new concept.

“We have the freshest produce available in our own backyard, which we want to showcase through our new breakfast offering,” says Erkin Aytekin General Manager of the Pullman Melbourne on the Park.

“Our focus still remains on high quality products and a large variety to suit everyone’s taste.”

The dining concept has also been rejuvenated, with the Pullman opting for a market style setup with different themed food stations.

Pullman Melbourne on the Park’s Cliveden Bar and Dining has been awarded the 2022 Hotel Bar of the Year at the Victorian Accommodation Awards for Excellence.

Positioning the Pullman Melbourne on the Park as one of Melbourne’s premium hotels, the Cliveden Bar and Dining offers an all-day dining menu featuring the best local Victorian produce that meets traditional European preparations and Australian native ingredients. Offering a wide selection of cocktails, The Cliveden even has its own bespoke gin. Developed in in collaboration with Bass & Flinders Distillery, these flavourful, unique gin features botanicals such as rosemary, oregano, and bitter almond, as well as native botanicals such as lemon myrtle.

Pullman Melbourne on the Park is located at 192 Wellington Parade in East Melbourne, opposite the MCG, Rod Laver Arena, and Melbourne Park precinct. It is a popular destination and the ‘Home of Sports’ to host teams and spectators attending AFL, NRL, Cricket and the Australian Open tennis.

The William Clarke Sky Villa is opening for bookings at $5,000 per night
