The 20th Toorak Village Sculpture Exhibition & Awards Night – and the WINNER is……….

It was a night of glitz and glamour for the Awards Night of the 20th Toorak Village Sculpture Awards! $20,0000 total non-acquisitive Artist Awards were presented to four artists at an invitation-only red-carpet Opening Event in Toorak Village on Friday 29 April 2022.

From Uluru, artists Valerie Brumby and Rene Kulitja were in attendance. Rene is famous for her design Yananyi Dreaming, which covers a Qantas Boeing 737.  They are in Melbourne representing eight artists from the Walkatjara Art Centre with 11 sculptures featured in the exhibition.

This year, sculptures were viewed and judged by Dr. Ken Wach – Associate Professor and former Principal Research Fellow, and Head of the School of Creative Arts at The University of Melbourne, where he taught art history for thirty-five years, as a commentator and writer.
