Melbourne Fashion Festival celebrated 10 years of STRATEAS CARLUCCI with a draw-dropping surprise for the finale.

PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival celebrated 10 years of STRATEAS CARLUCCI on Saturday the 5th of March at the Timber Yard in Port Melbourne and was attended by Lana Wilkinson, Sarita Holland, Effie Kats, Graeme Lewsey, and Daria Varlamova to name a few.

The Street Style attendees were off the charts, arriving in absolute eye-popping style.

The modern luxury label is a creative collaboration between designers, Peter Strateas and Mario – Luca Carlucci. The brand has championed a masculine/feminine duality that is unified and not driven by gender but instead based on a concept.

STRATEAS CARLUCCI AW22 – showcased a collection full of possibilities. Sharp easy to wear suiting, thick and heavy warm, and cozy winter coats that were almost like a luxurious oversized dressing gown. Classic trenches and sweeping belts on deconstructed jackets were also powerful and edgy.

The collection was enormous and it’s so versatile and easy for all to wear. Striking knitwear that was richly textured in beautiful tight maxi dresses and two pieces was a stand-out.

STRATEAS CARLUCCI gave way to high-end luxury designs with a surprise for the finale. A draw-dropping collaboration with Melbourne brewing house VICTORIA BITTER was presented for the final part of the runway. I have to say I was a little confused, to begin with, however, if we reflect back to when we were young, we will remember what VB has brought to our state and that’s a long history of popularity.

Can high-end fashion and a good old Aussie beer be brought together? Hell yes, the world as we know it is changing, and our ideas need to adjust as to what’s accepted. Why does it matter if you’re in an expensive jacket with a very affordable beer and not a craft beer or champagne? Let’s be less judgmental of everything I say. Life is unpredictable!

STRATEAS CARLUCCI the brand represented full strength in their designs and the full flavour was presented in the collections just like VB with their iconic quenching full strength beer. The clever marketing initiative was surprising and a great way to support our local industry.
