JAGGED LITTLE PILL – Arrives in Melbourne kicking off a National Australian Tour.

Alanis Morissette’s ‘Jagged Little Pill’ the musical has arrived for its National Australian Tour! The musical presents a story that centre’s around a suburban family known as the Healy’s. The family itself you would think to be the perfect family, but beneath the surface, not all is as it appears to be.

The story draws in our emotions with brilliant acting from a stellar cast including Natalie Bassingthwaighte who plays the lead role of the mother Mary Jane Healy, Tim Draxl who plays the father Steve Healy, Emily Nkomo who makes her musical theatre debut as the adopted daughter Frankie Healy, and is utterly brilliant in both acting and vocals, and Conservatorium graduate Liam Head who plays the son Nick Healy.

The musical is inspired by the seminal rock album of the same name by seven-time Grammy Award-winning artist Alanis Morissette. Morissette’s music and lyrics will have you wanting to sing along with a stellar cast of amazing vocalists to the tunes of “You Oughta Know,” “Head Over Feet,” “Hand In My Pocket,” and of course the one we all know and love “Ironic.”

The show is truly captivating from beginning to end and for me personally, Natalie Bassingthwaighte shows us why she was born to perform on the stage, both in acting and vocals she is truly remarkable at drawing us in, to the personal demons she is trying to hide from her family.

Maggie Mc Kenna who plays the role of Jo, Grace Miell who plays Bella, and Aydan who plays Phoenix are all truly brilliant with the vocals a highlight during the show. The voices blend seamlessly together with the most magical of harmonies notable.

Jagged Little Pill is the musical you won’t want to miss. It’s a spellbinding experience I’m sure we can all relate to, in one way or another. The cast will have you enthralled from start to finish with quirky jokes, music that makes you want to sing along too, and one that brings about sadness and struggles that are sure to leave a few with tears.

Intimate, raw, and relatable it’s the musical of the moment.
