Melbourne Restaurateur / Executive Chef Scott Pickett delivers a Melbourne Cup Day to remember!

The Melbourne Cup is without a doubt the most famous horse race in Australia, and yesterday the Lexus Melbourne Cup restarted the Nation, with many Melburnians’ coming together, at venues around the city to celebrate this iconic Australian event.

Melbourne restaurateur and Executive Chef Scott Pickett, of award-winning restaurants Matilda; 159 Domain and Chancery Lane on Little Collins Street celebrated with guests for a fine dining experience.

Marketing Consultant Shiva Singam and friends enjoyed coming together again, to celebrate with the finest food, wine, and champagne.

The newly renovated Matilda was Spring Racing perfection, boasting the new outdoor Parklet, with a stunning installation by architect Sarah Townson of Anthology in collaboration with North St Botanical.

Diners enjoyed Coopers Island Oyster’s with a wealth of dishes for all tastes, washed down with Champagne and all the delights that bring about a day to remember.

Housed in the historic Normanby Chambers building, Chancery Lane echoes a decadent and bygone era, providing the perfect base for a memorable Melbourne Cup celebration.

The elevated décor and ambiance along with an indulgent soiree of cocktails also provided guests with a sumptuous grazing-style menu to be enjoyed and shared.

Vibrant Spring colours were seen on Melbourne Fashion Designer Sofia Samaras in her namesake label Sofia Irina, and spellbinding diamonds and jewels by Faith Hilda of Faith Jewels, were worn by Faith and friend Christina Chia.
