Melbourne My Style’s Key Trends for 2021
Australian Fashion Week – Sydney
Trench Coats – are an all-time classic and seem to be the ‘it’ staple for the season. Lightweight and easy to style with layers the trench is trans-seasonal and a great investment piece.
Tonal Dressing – is also trending and wearing one colour from head to toe is dominating on the fashion scene. Easy to execute this look, you simply need to select shades from the same colour family. Textures can be mixed and matched with layers that are intriguing and catching to the eye.
Colour Pop – Clashing bold colours are always popular at Fashion events. Super fun, bright colours will have you standing out amongst the rest.
Bright colours are for the uninhibited those that dare to turn the heads of others, that are playful and empowering.
Denim – is back and as we know is super versatile. Denim always trans-seasonal has once again resurfaced as a key trend with stonewashed, high-waisted, and more relaxed fits.
Denim is incredibly diverse and obviously incredibly sustainable with slouchy, cuffed, cut-off, bleached, and doubled with other denim pieces more popular than ever.
Black & Cut-Outs – always sophisticated, black is contemporary when incorporating minimalist cutouts. The cut-out trend is both alluring and daring. Revealing a little and not a lot is the key to leaving some to the imagination of others.
Chunky Shoes – Chunky is big and the chunkier the better is trending right now. This polarizing look is for those that love trends and want to be the ultimate fashionista.
