Black and White out of Sight – 2019 AAMI Victoria Derby

The Melbourne Cup Carnival leapt into action on Saturday 2nd November with the AAMI Victoria Derby. Derby Day is the most prestigious day on the Spring Racing calendar and brings elegance and style to the track at Flemington. This year mother nature decided to step in and challenge us all bringing floods of heavy rain. Hold on to your hats or change your hairstyle completely which is what model and former Miss Universe Tegan Martin told me she decided to do when she heard the days forecast.

The Derby as we know is themed Black and White and no other colour apart from a little Charcoal/Grey is acceptable.

Myer Ambassador Elyse Knowles – shrugs off the rain and gets on with it.

As usual, all eyes were on those entering the Bird Cage which is the most sought-after invitation over Spring. The key to a fabulous look is being styled correctly and sticking to the rules of racing etiquette. Here we’ve rounded up our favourite looks perfected by some of Melbourne’s most well-known celebrity stylists.
