MBFWA celebrated SWIM taking a leaf out of Sports Illustrated 2017 Runway and designers FELLA, DUSKII, CAMP COVE SWIM and PAM PAM celebrated as they cast models of all shapes and sizes to showcase body diversity in their Spring Summer 2019 Collections.
FELLA
FELLA collaborated with artist Marleigh Culner from New York to present shapes and forms of the desert using a colour palette of neutrals including mocha, rust, ink, red, dusty pink and blue. The brand is classic, refined and minimal in its design choice and yet romantic and simplistic.
DUSKII
DUSKII celebrates women with a nod to the European style. This season they focus on modern femininity by introducing light weight fabrics, frills and custom designed prints. The designs are for all shapes and sizes allowing women to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin.
CAMP COVE SWIM
CAMP COVE SWIM is an Australian label designed and manufactured here; they believe beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Each and every design is a labour of love that is manufactured on the South Coast of New South Wales. The fit and workmanship is a priority and this collection celebrates the natural beauty of the Australian landscapes and Flora.
PAM PAM
PAM PAM are blurring the lines between beach and street fashion making it look so effortless as they mix glamour with beach for you to easily go straight from beach to bar. Think St Tropez style and luxury fabrics with a nod to the European woman. The PAM PAM woman is effortlessly dressed and knows life is too short to be boring dressing in fabulous velvets, silks, brocades and leopard print.
The SWIM showcase was inspiring to say the least as there was something for all. The designers are to be congratulated on a truly amazing showcase emphasising strong women to celebrate and be proud of their shape and size.
