Melbourne, if you’re looking for somewhere truly special to celebrate New Year’s Eve, this is it!

For 46 years, the Australian Pops Orchestra has brought audiences together to welcome the new year, and having experienced this magnificent event firsthand, it’s easy to see why it remains such a beloved Melbourne tradition.

Under the direction of the brilliant John Foreman, 60 musicians will take the stage at Arts Centre Melbourne’s Hamer Hall for an evening of extraordinary music, outstanding performances, and plenty of surprises.

And it’s not just about the music. From the dancing to the unexpected moments that have audiences cheering, there’s always something extra. That’s the beauty of this celebration. You never quite know what John Foreman has in store!

This year’s line-up brings together three exceptional Australian performers.

Internationally acclaimed musical theatre star Caroline O’Connor leads the celebrations, bringing her extraordinary stage presence and powerhouse vocals to Hamer Hall.

Joining her is Australia’s much-loved tenor Mark Vincent, whose remarkable voice has made him a favourite with audiences, alongside rising musical theatre star Georgina Hopson, fresh from her acclaimed performance as Anya in Anastasia the Musical.

Together with the fabulous Dana Jolly Dancers and the 60-piece Australian Pops Orchestra, audiences can expect everything from Broadway favourites and orchestral classics to timeless love songs and operatic anthems.

Speaking about the return of this much-loved celebration, John Foreman said:

“For 46 years, Melbourne audiences have welcomed the New Year with the Aussie Pops Orchestra. I’m delighted to continue that tradition with two of my favourite performers in Caroline O’Connor and Mark Vincent – plus the fabulous Dana Jolly Dancers and the 60 amazing musicians of the orchestra. Good company, great atmosphere and wonderful music – it really is the best way to ring the new year!”
