Tina Arena Announces 2027 Melbourne Residency at Crown Live to Celebrate 50 Years in Music

Tina Arena Announces Melbourne Residency at Crown Live

Australian music royalty Tina Arena is returning to where it all began, announcing an extraordinary month-long Melbourne residency in August 2027 to celebrate an incredible 50 years in the music industry.

One of Australia’s most celebrated voices, Arena will take over Melbourne’s brand-new Crown Live entertainment venue with her 5.0 Residency Tour, an exclusive series of performances marking five remarkable decades of music, memories and unforgettable hits.

And Melbourne fans have even more reason to celebrate. These will be Arena’s only Australian performances in 2027, making the residency one of the year’s most anticipated musical events.

If Tina Arena’s sensational performance at the recent John Farnham tribute concert is any indication, Melbourne audiences are in for an absolute treat!

I only recently said that Crown Melbourne should introduce artist residencies to celebrate our incredible homegrown Australian talent, and here we are! What better way to begin than with one of our country’s most extraordinary voices?

From her early beginnings on Young Talent Time in 1976 to becoming an internationally acclaimed recording artist, Arena has built a career that few Australian performers can rival.

With 25 albums released and more than 10 million records sold worldwide, her extraordinary voice has provided the soundtrack to generations.

Five Decades of Hits, One Unforgettable Celebration

The 5.0 Residency Tour promises something truly special, with evolving setlists exploring the many chapters of Arena’s remarkable career.

Fans can expect to hear beloved classics including Chains, Sorrento Moon (I Remember), Wasn’t It Good, Heaven Help My Heart, Burnand Symphony of Life, alongside rarely performed songs and unexpected musical moments.

Created specifically for Crown Live, the production will combine spectacular staging with an intimate concert experience, allowing audiences to connect with Arena in a setting unlike her traditional arena performances.

And what better place to celebrate 50 years than Melbourne, the city where her extraordinary journey began?

Tina Arena Releases New EP, Way of the World

Adding to the excitement, Arena has also unveiled a new six-track EP, Way of the World, demonstrating that even after five decades, her passion for musical reinvention remains as strong as ever.

Produced by François Tétaz and Luke Howard and recorded primarily at Melbourne’s Synth Temple, the EP features striking interpretations of songs made famous by New Order, Michael Hutchence’s Max Q, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Ada Mori and Frank Ocean.

Among the tracks are True Faith, Enjoy the Silence, Ordinary World and Way of the World.

Blending orchestral arrangements, piano and electronic sounds, the release offers a fresh perspective on some much-loved songs, all delivered through Arena’s unmistakable vocals.

Tina Arena Documentary Makes Australian Television Debut

The celebrations also include the Australian television premiere of the documentary Tina Arena: Unravel Me, which aired on the Seven Network and 7plus on Sunday, 18 October.

The documentary offers audiences another opportunity to explore the life and career of an artist whose influence on Australian music has been nothing short of extraordinary.
