Beyond the Valley Celebrates a Decade of Dance – DOM DOLLA counts the crowd into the NEW YEAR!

Beyond the Valley Celebrates a Decade of Dance: A Festival Extravaganza!

This year, Beyond the Valley turned a remarkable 10 years old, and to mark the occasion, the festival unfolded over four electrifying days, drawing in tens of thousands of eager festival-goers ready to celebrate like never before. The atmosphere was alive with excitement and vibrant energy as attendees came together to dance, connect, and revel in the magic of music, amongst the dust at Barunah Plains in Victoria.

Kicking off the festivities was the iconic ‘Dance Dome’. The first night was a spectacular sight as festivalgoers showcased their colourful ‘doof sticks’, those whimsical totems adorned with fairy lights and creative decorations that help groups stay together in the throng of the crowd. There’s something undeniably special about seeing friends rally around their totems, and the joy was palpable as everyone embraced the festival atmosphere.

The ‘Dr. Dan’s stage’ was another highlight, bustling with activity and featuring a stunning design that included two tiers of shipping containers and an elevated balcony for dancing. It was the perfect setting for a diverse line-up of artists who kept the energy high and the vibes even higher.

In the Dance Dome, fans were treated to electrifying sets by some of the hottest DJs. ‘Kettama’, the renowned Irish DJ, brought his unique sound to the stage, setting the tone for an unforgettable night. As the night unfolded, ‘DJ Heartstring’ took the helm to close out the evening, leaving the crowd buzzing with excitement.

Over at the ‘Valley Stage’, the line-up was equally impressive. JoJo. graced the stage with her powerful vocals, delivering classic hits like “Leave (Get Out)” and “Too Little Too Late,” which had the crowd singing along in unison. Later, the ever popular ‘Addison Rae’ made her festival debut, thrilling fans with her infectious energy and closing her set with the catchy anthem “Diet Pepsi.”

For those looking to elevate their festival experience, the ‘Valley Club VIP add-on’ was the perfect escape. Attendees enjoyed exclusive perks, including a chic bar, hair and makeup artists for touch-ups, and a phone charging station to keep everyone connected throughout the festivities. I had my hair done twice and I loved every moment of this experience with some very cool braids.

As midnight approached, anticipation filled the air, and it was none other than ‘Dom Dolla’ who took the stage just before the New Year’s countdown. His electrifying performance had the crowd dancing and cheering, setting the perfect backdrop for a night of celebration. Only thing I can say is he needed to come on a little earlier!!!!

While the festival was an overall unbelievable experience, it’s essential to remember to be respectful and considerate when using amenities. The state of the toilets was a less-than-pleasant sight, and we can all do better in maintaining the festival’s beautiful environment for everyone to enjoy.

As the final notes of the festival echoed into the night, it was clear that Beyond the Valley had once again created a magical experience, bringing together friends, music lovers, and unforgettable memories. Here’s to a decade of dancing, and many more to come!
