By Savannah Stodal
FujiFilm recently celebrated the launch of the new X-M5 camera through newly introduced ‘Foodtography Tours’! Partnered with Foodie Trails Fujifilm provided a range of delicious Melbourne cuisine for attendees to capture and consume.
Top food bloggers were invited to share the experience of testing out their photography skills on the brand-new edition camera, described as a ‘mirrorless digital camera for the content creator generation’. Ensuring food eats first, Foodie Trails led a restaurant crawl through Melbourne’s famous laneways and streets encouraging everyone to capture all the culinary colours and textures food.
Foodies experimented with and shot a variety of dishes, from Indigenous Australian, Indian, French and Italian foods throughout the evening, testing out the latest features specially part of the X-M5 camera. With culinary experts on hand, attendees were able to improve their snapshotting over delightful dishes.
The Foodtography Tour showcases the tasty hidden gems within Melbourne and Sydney, unlocking innovative ways of creating and sharing new food content to the highest quality.
The inspiration came from a Pureprofile finding, that almost 1 in 3 young Australians are struggling to capture quality food images, leading to the creation of a handheld, easily transportable camera which provides a range of lens filter options – and an alterable screen ensuring the creators view the most convenient.
Fujifilm express they’re “passionate about inspiring creativity and curiosity through the lens of photography, so to celebrate the launch of X-M5, we wanted to offer a unique and innovative experience.”

that’s at home, on-the-go or enjoying a meal at a restaurant – and given the X-M5 is aimed
towards first-time content creators, it’s perfect for this experience.
