Leading the charge is the charismatic Keanu Gonzalez, who has been turning heads as Kenickie in the hit production of ‘Grease the Musical’. In ‘One Day in September’, he takes on the role of Sam, a professional footballer whose life spirals into chaos as he navigates football fame and a personal relationship. As he grapples a romance with the brother of one of the WAGs, Sam is forced to confront the harsh realities of living in the public eye, where every choice can be scrutinised, and every moment can lead to scandal.
Joining Gonzalez on stage is a stellar cast that includes the talented Ashleigh Rubenach, known for her breathtaking performances in ‘Sunset Boulevard’, and the dynamic duo of Lorinda May Merrypor and Yashith Fernando, both of whom have wowed audiences in ‘& Juliet’. Rounding out the ensemble is Des Flanagan, from ‘Moulin Rouge’, bringing an undeniable energy to the production.
