Crown Melbourne launches ALUMNI, a limited time only restaurant in partnership with MasterChef.
Get ready to experience a culinary journey like no other as former MasterChef Australia Alumni take over Crown Melbourne’s Evergreen Space! Kishwar Chowdhury, Callum Hann, and Khanh Ong, are set to showcase their incredible talents in a limited time only restaurant starting this Thursday, 16 May. A mystery fourth MasterChef cook will also be announced on 25th June.
On Tuesday evening, Crown and MasterChef Australia welcomed Master Chef Judges, Andy Allen, Sofia Levin, and Poh Ling Yeow, along with former Alumni Sarah Todd to a special media preview evening. Other esteemed guests included Guillaume Brahimi, Dale Thomas, and Matt Agnew.
The evening was filled with anticipation and excitement as everyone eagerly awaited the delicious dishes that would be presented. It was a night to remember, full of incredible flavours and unforgettable moments shared with some of the best in the industry.
Each week, a rotating cast of alumni cooks will take centre stage, serving up dishes from the cuisine they are best known for.
KISHWAR CHOWDHURY – 16 MAY – 2 JUNE

Born and raised in Melbourne, Kishwar champions heritage, history, and the philosophy of cuisine.
With a special emphasis and understanding of seasonality, the origins of food, and cultural history she specialises in sourcing ingredients and growing rare produce. Her point of difference that has been cultivated in her cooking style from an early age. An understanding and inspiration of culinary trends is drawn from a life spent across three different continents, giving her style a unique edge.
CALLUM HANN – 6 – 23 JUNE

Immersed in the local food scene, Callum’s fresh take stems from his love for Australian produce.
His passion for food combined with a genuine appreciation for education, fuels everything that he does in the cooking space. A commitment to promoting sustainable and ethical food practices is showcased in his support of local farmers, the seasonal ingredients they provide, and his advocation for reducing food waste.

Profiling the depth in aromatic flavours, Khanh keenly transports Australians to his native Vietnam.

Self-described as food-obsessed, he was raised in his parents’ butchery business and in his home kitchen learning from mum, where the pair would create food magic together.
