Melbourne’s rising singing sensation Isabella Ciccone is one to watch out for in the music scene, her recent appearance at the prestigious 2023 Aria Awards solidified her status as a force to be reckoned with. Surrounded by the who’s who of the music world, Isabella, or Issi as she prefers to be called, mingled effortlessly on the red carpet with newfound friends The Wiggles.
Isabella’s love for music blossomed at a young age when she started singing and performing in school productions. It was evident from the start that she had a natural talent and a passion for captivating audiences with her angelic voice. Little did she know that this early introduction to the stage would lay the foundation for her extraordinary journey in the music industry.
Born to the legendary Helen and Frank Ciccone, Isabella, or Issi as she is fondly known, comes from a family of creative geniuses. Her parents have made their mark in the Hair Industry, and it seems that talent runs deep in their blood. Following in their footsteps, Issi has found her true calling in music, and boy, does she shine!
Issi Says, “music to me is an outlet of emotions and experiences, a medium that allows us to speak to others in a way regular words can’t. Music is limitless and it not only brings communities of people together, but it allows people the space and opportunity to truly feel, think and reminisce. Music is meant to help others, and if any artist can achieve that then their music is truly incredible. When I write my songs, I not only include real thoughts, feelings, and stories that I, or others around me, have experienced, I write and record with the sole purpose of giving people hope, freedom and a voice. I hope my music inspires others and helps them to find the courage to express their emotions and thoughts and that my music allows them to relate and feel seen in a way they never have before.”
At the age of fifteen, Issi released her first single, marking the beginning of her musical career. But this young talent didn’t rely solely on her natural abilities; she dedicated herself to honing her craft at the renowned Jaanz School of Singing. Under the guidance and mentorship of industry professionals, Issi refined her skills, transforming into the powerhouse vocalist she is today.
One of the pivotal moments in her career came when she had the opportunity to work in the studio with Michael Stangel, an Aria Award-winning producer. Collaborating with someone of his calibre allowed Issi to tap into her potential, exploring new depths of her artistry. Michael’s expertise and guidance undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping her unique sound and style.
But it wasn’t just Michael who played a crucial role in Issi’s journey. She was also fortunate to have Nazzereene, a renowned coach from the hit show “The Voice,” by her side. Nazzereene’s mentorship not only provided Issi with invaluable vocal techniques but also instilled in her the confidence to push boundaries and embrace her individuality as an artist.
Currently, Isabella is working diligently in the studio, collaborating with Tokyo Cub and Emeree on her upcoming music. The anticipation surrounding this release is palpable, as fans eagerly await the next chapter in her musical journey. Set to be unveiled early next year, these new tracks promise to showcase Issi’s growth and evolution as an artist, captivating listeners with her mesmerizing vocals and infectious energy.

Everyone was dressed in so much detail and vibrancy and the energetic atmosphere made me feel not only overwhelmingly welcome but also so proud to be a part of something unique and inspiring.
