AFL Richmond player Nick Vlastuin attended the prestigious Brownlow Medal ceremony with his partner Georgia Kelly, looking radiant in red. The couple turned heads on the red carpet, dressed to the nines, with Nick looking dapper in a tailored suit by Peter Jackson and Georgia stealing the show in a mesmerising red gown by Bonita Couture.
This is Nick’s 3rd time attending the AFL Brownlow. Nick says, “the previous two times we made the Grand Final and no drinking is allowed so it’s a subdued night and one was during covid, so this one is looking a bit different. Nick say’s he predicts Tim Taranto should finish in the top 5 and maybe he can sneak a win. If he gets up, the night could go a bit later.”
As cameras flashed and onlookers gushed, Nick graciously took the time to chat openly with us about his thoughts on Richmond’s new coach, Adem Yze, and what lies ahead for the team in the upcoming year.
“Next year should hopefully be a good one we have a new coach announced a few days ago ‘Adem Yze’. We’ve all been over in Thailand together, so we decided to leave him alone until we were all back. We all hope to get to know him over the next couple of days. We are looking forward to new ideas and new energy, we back those that have selected him as our new coach.”
Nick acknowledged that change always brings a mix of excitement and uncertainty, but he expressed his belief in Yze’s ability to lead the team to success. He emphasised the importance of adapting to different coaching styles and building strong relationships with the new coaching staff.
Richmond was at the top for a long time, Nick says, “maybe the game has moved past what we were doing before I’m not sure. We have a lot of talent so we will regroup. We only lost a lot of our games by a goal or two. We will be back!”
