An A-list crowd, including Grammy Award-winning singer Billie Eilish, Queen of R&B Mary J. Blige, singer and songwriter Nick Jonas and his wife, Indian actress Priyanka Chopra were among a star-studded crowd. The guests gathered at the Standard Hotel’s Boom Boom Room, to dance the night away and celebrate the artistry of fashion. The colourful and eclectic crowd sipped on champagne and mingled in a space that incorporated elements of the Met Gala’s “in honour of Karl” theme.
Billie Eilish, the Grammy Award-winning singer, was spotted chatting with Ava Max, the rising pop star, and they seemed to be enjoying each other’s company. Jenna Ortega paid homage to the late Karl Lagerfeld by wearing a stunning black and white lace-up bodice with a bow necktie, the bow necktie was a nod to Lagerfeld’s love for bow ties, which he often wore himself.
As the night went on, guests were treated to surprise performances by some of music’s biggest names. Janelle Monáe was joined on stage by Lizzo for a show-stopping rendition of “Juice,” while Kaytranada brought out Kehlani for an unforgettable ” The Worst performance.” The energy was electric, and the crowd couldn’t get enough.
The Boom Boom Room Met Gala after-party was truly a night to remember, and it’s clear why it continues to be the most sought-after event of the year. As the guests left in the early hours of the morning, they did so with memories that will last a lifetime. Until next year, when the fashion world gathers again to celebrate fashion’s artistry at the Met Gala, we’ll be dreaming of the epic party at The Standard’s Hotel Boom, Boom, Room.
