In celebration with the NGV Melbourne Winter Masterpieces 2022: The Picasso Century is now on at the NGV. Chadstone The Fashion Capital is proud to be the major sponsor for this Picasso in a NEW light world premiere exhibition.

Chadstone invites you to all come and experience the NGV at the Fashion Capital and join in on a little fun with a rich calendar of creative workshops and experiences.


Be inspired with workshops and creative masterclasses for everyone with the best of bespoke in-centre activations from 10 June to 10 July 2022. On offer at The Fashion Capital will be free hands-on workshops and creative experiences for all ages across three pop-up experiences.

1. The Cubist Studio:

Visit the Cubist Studio at Chadstone for an elevated after-dark experience offering painting, ceramics, and still-life digital drawing workshops with some of Melbourne’s top artists, Alice Oehr, Esther Olsson, and more. Visitors will be encouraged to slow down, observe the simple beauty of everyday objects, and experiment with cubist elements of design. Online bookings are essential to secure your spot. 2. Make A Creature:

Splash your digital canvas with colour at the Make A Creature activation where visitors will be invited to sit in a luxurious multimedia installation to create their very own digital collage. Make A Creature is home to an innovative and experimental approach to making art that is inspired by the Surrealist game Exquisite Corpse relating to Spanish artist Remedios Varo and her photo collages.

3. The Emerging Artists Space:

Especially designed for the school holidays at Chadstone, young budding artists will be invited to tap into their artistic side through exploring portraiture and sculpture at The Emerging Artists Space. Children will be encouraged to get creative with FREE art activities on offer throughout the school holidays.
