‘When you do what’s right, and you fight for your right to be happy, your right to be the best you that you can be, to live the kind of life you deserve to live, to make the come back of your life and make your dreams a reality…everything begins to fall into place’.

Paris Little at the age of 9 had one focus and that was to join the Royal Marines, he was always interested in sports and was determined to do whatever he needed to reach his goal. At the age of 9 Paris went to the UK for the first time with his family and didn’t return home until he was about 15. While in the UK Paris found himself mixing with the wrong crowd which led to trouble and this ended up costing him his dream job to be a marine, however Paris continued to train and focus on his fitness and strength.

Paris was backwards and forwards to the UK with his family and at the age of 18 returned home for good with the sad news that his beloved grandfather had passed away. Paris was left 5K and he spent this money on becoming a qualified Personal Trainer and has been Personal Training now for around 12 years.

During this time Paris lost his way and had a two year stint where he wasn’t doing much at all, he was drinking every day and relying on money from Centrelink along with his mates, with the constant drinking and partaking in fights he found himself some serious trouble with a fight that occurred on a Melbourne train station. Paris was required to sign into his parole officer three times a week for two years and had to remain at home between 7 pm of a night till 6 am the next morning.

Drinking was prohibited but this was nothing compared to what Paris and his friends could have been dealt. The victim survived and Paris was fortunate enough to have a parole officer that was determined to get him on the straight and narrow and avoid a jail sentence and ended up with a 3-year suspended sentence.

“I found my way back to training and physicality, which was my lifesaver”. Formal education was never for Paris, he trained at a gym in St Kilda for 6 months where he also worked cleaning and mopping floors, anywhere that he could just watch and learn he would, he ended up personal training there and then began his own business, initially with a friend in Port Melbourne”.

Paris is now the founder and director of Praxis Athletic in Melbourne’s suburb of Windsor, a no-frills space that is strength based designed to help you discover the best version of yourself. Our focus is to make you strong both physically and mentally more mobile and more athletic.

If you’ve found yourself up struggle street or not knowing what to do with your life there is nothing greater than learning how to develop not only physical strength but to gain mental strength. Mental toughness is the ability to consistently perform no matter the circumstance. Exercise stimulates our endorphin production in our brain creating a feeling of euphoria. You’re probably familiar with the term “runner’s high,” which refers to the euphoric feeling one sometimes gets when exercising.

Paris’ story can inspire all of us to remember we can change our future and the outcome by making changes and overcoming challenges. Paris can be contacted for a free consultation to create a program individually designed for you to reach your goals and to move forward.
