MILANO FASHION WEEK WOMEN’S COLLECTION

21 – 27 SEPTEMBER 2021Spring/Summer 2022

Milano Fashion Week Women’s Collection marks the return to physical events with a calendar of 65 shows (of which 43 physical and 22 digital).

The main highlights include the return to the calendar of the Roberto Cavalli brand, under the creative direction of Fausto Puglisi and of the Moncler and Boss brands.

Robert Cavalli unleashed the Spring Summer 2022 collection, for the first time under the creative direction of Fausto Puglsi. Taking us to the wild side with nature-inspired animal prints from the ’80s.

This year many exhibitions and events have enriched the calendar, including the exhibition for the 40th anniversary of the creation of the Emporio Armani brand.

Giorgio Armani along with niece Silvana and Leo Dell’Orco who head up all Armani brand labels, celebrated the 40th anniversary and Spring/Summer preview with Emporio’s youthful collection, which was brought about to be more affordable to the younger generation, and to give our youth the sophistication that comes with dressing in branded designs.

With strict social distancing at the Tadao Ando-designed auditorium, the Emporio Armani brand was celebrated with only one-third capacity due to covid regulations. Armani described the exhibition he created for the 40th anniversary as “a phenomenon that is not just fashion but is more about style.”

German fashion house BOSS collaborated for the second time with sporting giant Russell Athletic, with an all-American-inspired baseball pitch just outside of Milan to showcase the new Athletic/ American retro-inspired collections.

Vintage sports fashion always makes a significant impression, but never more so than now, with relaxed looks being popular with the world’s Covid pandemic. Tracksuits and lounge-style clothing are dominating key trends right now and when styled with minimalistic maxi coats and the right runners you have one hell of a classic, sophisticated, and relaxed look, that will have you turning heads for all the right reasons. Just because we are spending more time at home, doesn’t mean we have to look shabby, and these leading labels have once again brought about a timely and successful collaboration.

Moncler united the fashion world on the largest of digital platforms across 5 cities including, Milan, New York, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Seoul. Moncler’s latest Genius Collection, “MONDOGENIUS” included 11 different designers.

The event was hosted live in Milan with award-winning singer and songwriter, Alicia Keys. Moncler Genius was set about to collectively engage creatives of the fashion world. “Today is not only about products but is even more about our communities and the culture we want to shape together. The world is changing, people do not want the same things as before, they demand and expect more from brands.” said, Chairman and CEO Remo Ruffini.
