With a prolific collection of women’s and men’s shoes, handbags and small leather goods, Christian Louboutin now counts 160 boutiques around the world.
Louboutin is synonymous with luxury and glamour. Women around the world feel complete when adding a coveted pair of red sole Christian Louboutin’s to any outfit.
On Wednesday 4 September, Christian Louboutin officially launched its eighth boutique in Australia, located in the iconic The Georges Building at the Paris-end of Melbourne’s famed Collins Street.
Inspired by the dahabiya – a traditional Egyptian boat owned by Christian Louboutin himself – the 95- square-metre boutique is an invitation to a cruise on the Nile. Combining a bright airy space and colourful alcoves, the new Collins Street boutique is also surrounded by a graphic wall covered with emblematic red soles as a nod to the origins of the Maison. The boutique feature’s a selection of exclusive styles alongside the new season shoe and accessory collections for women and men.
The event celebrated the opening and launch of Nuit Blanche, Christian Louboutin’s latest collection transporting guests to the iconic, memorable nights at the Palace and the sparkle of the 80s Parisian scene. The collection’s glittering strass, graphic lines, animal prints and vintage inspiration is brought to life with an immersive installation echoing the designer’s vibrant and timeless aesthetic.
With a red-carpet arrival and deluxe long silver tinsel with mirrored walls setting the scene, guests were treated to chilled champagne, delicious canapes while being inspired by the latest collection. Celebrities included Lana Wilkinson, Pettifleur Berenger, Elliot Garnaut, Effie Kats, and Rianna Ponting to name a few.
