The 2025 Brownlow Medal: A Fashion Frenzy on the Red Carpet!

The 2025 Brownlow Medal has once again become a dazzling showcase of style, as the WAGS (Wives and Girlfriends of Sporting stars) graced the red carpet alongside their dapper partners. This year, fashion took centre stage, blending elegance with daring trends that left onlookers in awe. From sheer mesh styles reminiscent of Margot Robbie’s recent show-stopping look to sultry plunging necklines and chic halter necks, the vibe was nothing short of spectacular.

Our Favourite 2025 Brownlow Looks

Lexi Mary, partner of AFL star Rory Lobb this year was on the red-carpet reporting, with Jackie Epstein of the Herald Sun. Lexi dazzled in a stunning creation by Alin Le’ Kal, who is currently at Paris Fashion Week.

Alin said, “we curated Lexi’s look from an existing runway piece. We wanted her to reflect some beautiful lights on the carpet with a modern and fresh twist. Lexi has such a beautiful aura and energy about her, and we wanted her to reflect that with the gown she wore on the red carpet.”

Lexi’s polished metallic look was not only a nod to contemporary fashion but also a reflection of her excitement as she prepares to walk down the aisle with Rory in just a few weeks. Fans can expect to see her in two more exquisite design’s by Alin in the coming weeks.

Lexi said, “My beautiful dress is by my favourite designer,  Alin Le’ Kal, who is also designing my wedding gown.

The look is glamorous, structured, and elegant, and is a bit of fun before my classic bridal looks that I will be wearing by Alin for both my Melbourne wedding in October, and my Maldives destination wedding in November.”

Stylist Alicia Marshall has been hard at work this year, crafting breathtaking looks for her clients. Among them is Jess Butler, partner of Max Holmes, who turned heads in a custom Jason Grech gown. This dress embodies the perfect interplay between classical drapery and modern sensuality, evoking the grace of Grecian goddesses. The gown’s cascading folds and daring backless cut exude both power and elegance, while the thigh-high split adds a touch of contemporary flair. The sculptural quality of the draping makes it a commanding presence on the red carpet, celebrating a confident femininity that is hard to ignore.

Monique Cripps also made waves with her stunning ensemble, opting for an edgy yet minimalist look designed by Anna Campbell and styled by Kelli Nobes. Monique’s choice to pair her outfit with bold jewels added a striking contrast, proving that sometimes, less is indeed more.

Monique said, “I wanted an edgy look this year, a more minimalist look, but with some bold jewels. I am always nervous on the red carpet as I am not naturally good in front of cameras, but we make do.”
