DISCOVER THE JOY OF A BOATING LIFESTYLE AT MELBOURNE BOAT SHOW 2024
AFL star Jack Ginnivan has also thrown his support behind the Melbourne Boat Show 2024, highlighting his lifelong love of fishing and boating.
The Hawthorn footballer and 2023 Collingwood premiership player revealed his excitement for the Boat Show as it prepares to return to Docklands from October 17-20.
“Fishing has been a part of my life since I was a kid,” Ginnivan said.
“I still remember catching my first redfin when I was eight – it felt like the biggest catch in the world.
“Boats and the water have always felt like home to me. The Melbourne Boat Show is such a great event for anyone who loves getting out on the water. Whether you’ve been around boats your whole life or just love spending time on the water, there’s something here for everyone.”
The star-studded launch event aboard Premier Yacht’s Sophia on Wednesday night featured sporting stars and celebrities including The Block’s Ricky and Haydn, Collingwood AFL’s Jack Crisp, Hawthorn AFL’s Jai Newcombe and partner Georgia May and Miss Universe Australia 2023 Moraya Wilson.
The Boat Show 2024 will transform Docklands into a vibrant marine haven with the latest boats and equipment.
Now expanding to cover seven marinas, the Boat Show will extend along New Quay Promenade down Harbour Esplanade towards Marvel Stadium, providing a bigger and more immersive experience for boating enthusiasts, families, and those ready for a boating lifestyle.
Last year’s show attracted over 43,000 visitors, eager to dive into all things boating, and this year is set to be even more exciting with new features, expanded exhibits, and interactive displays.
With an extensive list of exhibitors, new models and brands, the Boat Show is an event not to be missed.
This year’s Melbourne Boat Show will see the debut of the long-awaited Jeanneau Yacht 55, the first one in the southern hemisphere.
Palm Beach Motor Yachts will also be offering exclusive tours aboard their Palm Beach 42 – a vessel that excels in tough conditions but looks to be made for the likes of James Bond.
Celebrities and experts will take to the Honda Main Stage, sharing insights and expertise while Paul Burt from Step Outside will dish out valuable tips and tricks on fishing and cooking your catch at the Suzuki Family Zone.
Admission to the Melbourne Boat Show is free, with the event set to run from Thursday, October 17, to Sunday, October 20. Attendees who register and scan their ticket upon entry will also be in the running for plenty of prizes throughout the event.
