Shaynna Blaze, best known for her impeccable interior design skills and captivating television presence, is ready to set the music world on fire with her debut single “Warrior.” The talented artist showcased her powerful vocals and undeniable stage presence at a special pre-launch performance at the Newmarket Hotel in St Kilda on Tuesday evening.
‘Shaynna’s passion for singing began in her 20s and 30s with various cover and original bands. She began song writing in her early 30s, but it is only now that Shaynna is breaking out as a songwriter and will be performing her original works in the coming months.’
The evening kicked off with Shaynna performing three covers including ‘Feeling Good and ‘Ain’t Nobody’, captivating all in the room, with her soulful voice and dynamic range. As the anticipation built, Shaynna then treated the guests to a preview of her upcoming single “Warrior.” The audience including Darren Palmer from ‘The Block’, Joel Creasey, Sarah Todd, Jo Stanley, and Smooth FM producer Lauren Saylor were left in awe as Shaynna belted out the empowering lyrics with passion and conviction.
Shaynna’s love of soul, funk, and acid jazz by the classic greats such as Aretha Franklin, Sarah Vaughan, Dionne Warwick, Randy Crawford, and modern artists; Renee Geyer, Chaka Khan, Nelly Furtado, Dido and N’Dea Davenport, inspired a collaboration between Shaynna and singer songwriter Gary Pinto.
‘In 2017, Shaynna was introduced to Gary Pinto through her good friend who believed they might connect as creatives. What Shaynna initially thought would be a quick meet and greet, turned into an impromptu jam session, spurred on by Gary. This initial catch-up saw them discuss musical direction and style, envisaging a collaboration and how they would start to make music. This culminated in a library of songs, recorded over a two-year period in and out of COVID lockdowns.’
“Warrior” is a thought-provoking anthem that showcases Shaynna’s ability to connect with her audience on a deeper level. The song’s powerful message of strength, resilience, and empowerment is sure to resonate with listeners from all walks of life.
