CLUEDO! A Hilarious Whodunit Opens at the Comedy Theatre
Last night, the Comedy Theatre buzzed with excitement as it welcomed the uproarious production of CLUEDO (or CLUE-DO as it’s affectionately dubbed) to its stage. This side-splitting whodunit promises to keep audiences laughing in their seats as one murder unfolds after another. With its clever writing and stellar cast, it’s no wonder that this show has already generated a buzz among theatre lovers.
The evening was made even more special by the presence of notable guests, including the sensational Rhonda Burchmore, the enchanting Harrison Craig, the charismatic Allan Raskall, and the rising star Issi Ciccone. Issi, who is set to take Asia by storm on her upcoming tour with record manager Rick Price, was spotted chatting with Harrison Craig about their new music projects. They both expressed their excitement not just for their individual endeavours but also for the thrilling opening of ‘CLUE-DO’.
Set against the backdrop of New England in 1949, the story whisks audiences away to the grand Boddy Mansion, where six unique dinner guests converge for what appears to be a sinister soirée. Among the eclectic ensemble are theatre royalty Adam Murphy, the brilliantly comedic Genevieve Lemon, and the ever-charming Grant Piro. While the guests initially seem oblivious to the true nature of the party, they soon discover they are all being blackmailed by the same mysterious figure, leading to a frenzied quest to uncover the identity of the murderer.
What sets CLUEDO apart is its rapid-fire wit and clever pacing, delivered seamlessly over the course of 90 uninterrupted minutes. The inventive set design transports audiences from room to room, immersing them in a world filled with quirky characters and an array of murder weapons that keep the stakes high and the laughs rolling. Each twist and turn in the narrative are met with uproarious laughter, as the cast masterfully navigates the intricacies of comedic timing.
