Inside, the hotel boasts an array of exquisite displays, including Paspaley pearls and a Hermès handbag to name a couple, each piece a testament to the hotel’s commitment to elegance.
The accommodation is nothing short of spectacular. My stay included a divine freestanding bathtub in a bathroom that could easily be mistaken for a queen’s sanctuary, complete with a Dyson hairdryer for that perfect finish. Every moment spent in these rooms is a luxurious retreat from the everyday.
Mornings at The Royce are equally enchanting, thanks to The Terrace, a conservatory-style breakfast haven that transports you to a posh European style restaurant. The ambiance is delightful, making every bite an experience to savour.
For evening indulgence, the Showroom Bar beckons with pre-dinner cocktails that are simply out of this world. I had the pleasure of attending an Oaks Day Soirée, mingling with luminaries like Nathan Buckley and Kate Langbroek. The evening was filled with caviar, Taittinger champagne and exquisite appetisers, each dish a testament to the hotel’s culinary prowess.
Guests also took home an illustration of themselves by internationally acclaimed fashion illustrator Sarah Darby.
Speaking to Josh Stapleton, he said “the hotel is out of this world. I first stumbled upon it when Pip Edwards shared her stay here on Instagram.”
