Glamour on the Grid: A Dazzling Launch for the 2025 Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix

Last night, the rain fell, the thunder rolled, and lightning streaked across the sky, but nothing could dampen the electrifying atmosphere at the ‘Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix 2025 Launch Party’, aptly themed ‘Glamour on the Grid’, presented by Crown. As the clouds darkened overhead, a different kind of light shone through, the brilliance of stars making their grand entrance on the iconic racetrack.

Despite a minor hiccup with media setup delays caused by the weather, the ambiance was nothing short of magical. The dramatic illumination of the stormy skies set the perfect backdrop for an evening filled with glitz, glamour, and excitement. As guests arrived, they were greeted by the mesmerising contrast of the roaring elements and the shimmering elegance of the night sky.

This year’s ambassadors, Darcy Moore who wore a black tuxedo and Dee Salmin,  who stood out in a stunning Aqua Blue couture dress by the talented Alin Le’ Kal. Their stunning outfits not only complemented the evening’s theme but also added a splash of vibrant colour against the moody sky.

Adding to the evening’s allure was Rebecca Harding, partner of comedian Andy Lee, who graced the event in a jaw-dropping black lace gown by J’Aton Couture. Her sophisticated look was a perfect blend of elegance and edge, making her one of the standout figures of the night. Guests couldn’t help but be captivated by her presence, as she effortlessly navigated through the crowd, embodying the spirit of high fashion and F1 excitement.

Maria Thattil radiated in a custom gown by Sonia Cappellazzo, which was created in only 2 days. Maria said, “we are off to a thunderous start (giggling). We’ve gone for real couture, sheer, beaded and still powerful. I love it, I’m feeling really good. My hair is very classic with Joey Scandizzo creating these finger waves.”

Annalise Dalins partner of Josh Daicos, stunned in Oglia Loro Couture and Styled by Bloom. Annalise said, “I wanted to embrace the fast and fiery nature of Formula One, so we went for a shiny material that matches that overall vibe”.

Lindy Klim said, it’s so good to be here, I worked on my outfit and custom designed it with Sonia Cappellazzo, and my hair by Joey Scandizzo. It’s kind of cool, I like it.”

As the storm clouds held off for a little, the energy on the track continued to intensify, especially when Sharon Johal and husband Ankur Dogra arrived, with Sharon in a piece that she described as “pure art”, by her friend and designer, Mariam Seddiq.

Sharon said, “I’m very lucky to have a man that wears what I tell him too”, with a laugh. Ankur looked incredible in an Armani suit and shoes by Prada.

Sharon and Ank’s are really becoming the ‘IT’ couple of Melbourne when it comes to making fashion statements at the BIG events.

Celebrities, athletes, and influencers mingled, all eager to celebrate the upcoming Grand Prix and revel in the electric atmosphere. The evening was filled with laughter, lively conversations, and the unmistakable buzz of anticipation for the races to come.

The ‘Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix 2025’, promises to be a spectacular event, and the launch party was a fitting prelude. With the stars shining brightly in their glamorous attire, it was clear that nothing, neither thunder nor rain, could steal the spotlight from this dazzling showcase of style and excitement.
