Chyka Keebaugh: Melbourne’s Quintessential Entertainer Hosts a Lavish Gala Celebration

In the heart of Melbourne, where elegance meets creativity, Chyka Keebaugh has solidified her status as a beloved homemaker and consummate entertainer. As the co-founder of The Big Group, a premier catering and events company, Chyka has a remarkable knack for transforming gatherings into unforgettable experiences. Recently, she hosted an opulent garden party and Gala Dinner at The Commons Collective, an exquisite venue that embodies the ethos of The Big Group, co-owned with her husband, Bruce Keebaugh.

The Gala was a celebration of creativity and inspiration, marking the launch of Robyn Lea’s latest literary gem, ‘This Creative Life’. This captivating book takes readers on an artistic journey, seamlessly weaving together the worlds of fashion and interior design. Among the stunning homes featured are those of iconic designers such as Laudomia Pucci, Martin Grant, and Coco & Sophie Conran, alongside none other than our cherished Chyka Keebaugh.

Robyn Lea, a visionary in her own right, aptly describes the creative spirit as “not a choice but a deep-seated need—an all-consuming desire that has no bounds. It doesn’t stop when they leave the studio but follows them home and stays with them always, like a loyal and constant companion.” This sentiment resonated deeply with special guests including Catriona Rowntree, Jennifer Keyte, Ann Peacock, and Susie McLean to name a few.

The ambiance of the pre-dinner garden party was nothing short of magical, with lush greenery and delicate floral arrangements setting the scene for an evening of sophistication. Guests mingled under the warmth of the Summer Sun, indulging in a sumptuous array of culinary delights meticulously crafted by The Big Group’s talented team. The evening was a testament to Chyka’s unparalleled ability to curate an atmosphere that is both inviting and luxurious.

Also among the attendees was Melbourne’s own fashion designer Melissa Rosich, accompanied by her daughter Lexi Mary, who is the girlfriend of AFL footballer Rory Lobb. Lexi’s sisters Delainey Mary and Mila Mary, both rising stars in the modelling scene were also present to support this incredible book launch.

As the evening unfolded, guests were treated to inspiring discussions about the intersection of art and life, celebrating the profound impact of creativity on personal expression and home design. Chyka’s home, featured in Robyn’s book, epitomises this philosophy, a sanctuary that reflects her artistic flair and passion for beautiful living.
