HEROES BAR MELBOURNE CELEBRATE THE UNAPOLOGETICALLY EXPLICIT NEW FILM – JOY RIDE!

Heroes Bar Melbourne Review

By Jake Freeman

Melbourne is spoiled for choice when it comes to karaoke bars. One that stands out from the rest is Heroes Bar Melbourne, which is situated in the heart of the city and near Chinatown. This Southeast Asian-inspired multi-level karaoke bar is a great place to sing and perfect for a night out on the town. It has multiple private karaoke rooms and several bars, including a rooftop bar.

Recently, guests were invited to Heroes to enjoy a Joy Ride, themed night.

Joy Ride
is a buddy comedy film, co-produced by Seth Rogen, that follows four Asian-American friends as they bond and discover the truth of what it means to know and love who you are, while they travel through Asia in search of one of their birth mothers.

Posters of the film were featured throughout the venue. In keeping with the theme of the film, which has described itself as unapologetically explicit and is R-rated, guests were treated with gift bags that contained, amongst other things, expresso martini jars and condoms.

Each floor at Heroes is unique, with one floor dedicated to several private karaoke rooms, another floor is filled with neon lighting, a bar and an open mic stage, and then the heated rooftop beer garden bar where guests can kick back and enjoy Asian-inspired snacks and not have to sing.

If you’re wanting to have fun with friends or work colleagues and feel confident enough to belt out some tunes, then Heroes is the place to go. You can book a private session, plus there are a couple of package options to set you up, with shots upon arrival. With over 200,000 songs in over 14 languages, there is something for everyone at Heroes.

The bar can cater to all sorts of events, ranging from corporate functions to birthday parties.

Heroes Bar Melbourne is located at 188 Bourke Street, near the corner of Russell Street in the CBD. It is open on Thursdays from 5:00 PM – 10:30 PM and Fridays & Saturdays from 4:00 PM – 3:00 AM. Sundays to Wednesdays are closed.
