Waterslide Bar at Melbourne’s Southgate played host on Friday 29th February as the first port of call to the ‘Boardwalk Bites’ event as part of Melbourne’s Food and Wine Festival.
The Waterslide Bar is one of Melbourne’s best-kept secrets and is best known for its signature cocktails, finest whiskeys, Gin, Rum and craft beers.
Cereal Milk – this cocktail takes you back to your childhood. Cereal Milk is used with white rum paying homage to Milk New York style.
Confresi Negroni – combining flavours of a Pina Colada with a Negroni this cocktail combines pineapple, coconut and rum.
Missionary Impossible – Using charred pineapple and nitro muddled mint this gin-based cocktail is perfect for summer.
The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival just celebrated its 27th year showcasing Melbourne’s finest eateries and culinary experiences along Melbourne’s Southgate and Crown Casino precinct.
For the closing weekend of the festival, March 22-24 ‘Boardwalk Bites’ was a wining/dining playground to be enjoyed by family, friends and International guests taking in the magnificent views of the Yarra River with a stunning backdrop of our city.
Our favourite Boardwalk Bites included tasting food prepared by the awesome teams behind Bluetrain, Waterfront Southgate, Ena Greek Food and Pure South.
